Shaker Heights High School Students Go On Fishing Trip

Ms. Morton’s Lifetime Fitness & Yoga classes recently took a short walk across the street to the duck pond for a fishing field trip. For some students, it was their very first time catching a fish! They learned how to bait hooks, remove fish, and gained lifelong skills like patience, problem-solving, self-sufficiency and mindfulness.
The Shaker Heights High School students mostly caught green panfish and a few carp, all while enjoying a break from the hustle and bustle of school. It was a fun and peaceful day outdoors — and now they’re ready to fish for life!
