Hundreds of families turned out with Bulldog pride, curiosity, happiness, and excitement for the first day of school on Thursday, August 17th for the GHCS’s 2nd annual Back to School rally.  Conveniently located in the High School lot, nearly two dozen community partners, vendors, and friends of the Garfield Heights City Schools provided participants with fun activities, information, giveaways, and more, and during the process created an environment of friendliness and support. Partners such as Cleveland Clinic Health Systems, the Cuyahoga County Public Library, local businesses, the City of Garfield Heights Police and Fire Departments, the Cleveland Food Bank, and many more, joined the Kona Ice truck and roller-skating fun to entertain Garfield Heights families.

 Each building in the district hosted a table with various games. Information was provided by transportation services. The food services team helped distribute donated food items and serve hot dogs.
