Maple Heights City Schools and the City of Maple Heights Collaborate to Light, the Way for Students

Maple Heights City School students will gave out over three hundred lightbulbs to the Maple Heights Community on February 4 to Light the Way for our students as they walk to and from school.

Light the Way is an effort to light up the Maple Heights community to create a brighter path for students during this darker season. Thanks to the partnership between Maple Heights City Schools, the City of Maple Heights, True Value Hardware in Maple Heights, and Home Depot, homeowners are being encouraged to turn on their porch lights to help brighten the streets for students making the journey to and from school–and they are getting free light bulbs to make this happen.

As part of the community’s Kindness Month that is taking place on February 4, 2023, 10:00 am - 11:30 am at the Maple Heights Board of Education at 5740 Lawn Ave. Students from Maple Heights High School will hand out light bulbs to residents.  “We thank True Value Hardware in Maple Heights and Home Depot for donating light bulbs to help bring more awareness to this campaign,” said Anglique Shy, Maple Heights Family, and Community Engagement Coordinator.  “We encourage our residents to stop by to pick up a free light bulb and show their support in keeping our children safe.”
