The Brooklyn City Schools celebrated our Brooklyn Safety Forces with its annual springtime Walk & Bike with a Hero event on Thursday, May 18, 2023. Students, families, staff, and representatives from the Brooklyn Police and Fire Departments met at one of three locations, Marquardt Park, Brooklyn Recreation Center, and Brock Park to walk or bike to school together. The annual Walk with Our Local Heroes event was part of Walk to School Week sponsored by the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Safe Routes to School program. 

For each day of the week-long program, students were encouraged to walk or bike to school and participate in a variety of fun and educational themed activities which celebrated kindness. A special thank you to our Brooklyn Safety Forces for their dedication and continued support of the Brooklyn City Schools.
