Richmond Heights High School Students Visit Cleveland FBI Office
Richmond Heights High School Students had the opportunity in October to visit the Cleveland FBI o
ffice! On October 18, Mr. Patty and Mrs. Ward took interested students to the Cleveland FBI office for an immersive, hands-on experience.
The day started with an introduction to careers in the FBI, followed by a tour of the facility, daily tasks and expectations, and qualifications for becoming an agent. The group even took part in a fingerprinting demonstration and lab, which allowed each student to identify and lift fingerprints from a crime scene!
During a mock scenario, Mr. Patty found himself in a predicament. If he moved, a bomb could go off! Students, along with agents specializing in bomb detection and neutralization, utilized x-ray pictures of the device and quickly disabled the bomb.
The students did an excellent job of representing their school and learned so much about the responsibilities and work the FBI and law enforcement do on a daily basis to protect our communities.
