Four Brush student-artists from South Euclid Lyndhurst Schools had the honor of having their artwork featured at the Beachwood Arts Council’s 27th Annual Ileen Kelner Juried High School Art Show.

 

Congratulations to Meredith Davis-Cooper (pictured on homepage with Art instructor April Lewis), Chandler Gray, Phoenix Harris, and Sujood Yakout on their proud accomplishment!

 

A special congratulations to Sujood Yakout on joining a select group of students to receive an Honorable Mention Award! Sujood’s artwork is featured below.

 

Twenty-two northeast Ohio schools participated in the art show which was held at the Beachwood Community Center and concluded on March 12th.

 

 A distinguished panel of local artists and art educators adjudicated the show, including Anna Arnold, Director of the Florence O’Donnell Wasmer Gallery at Ursuline College, Community Muralist, Arts and Crafts Professional, and Independent Arts Educator;  Augusto Bordelois, Owner of Augusto Fine Art and Professional Teaching Artist with the Center for Arts-Inspired Learning, the Art House, and the Ohio Arts Council; and Susan Cone Porges, Award-winning Artist and Instructor at Susan Porges Studio, International Plein Air Painting Workshop Instructor, and 40-year Career as Instructor/Calligrapher.
