On Tuesday, March 21, 2023, Teen Café, a new club at Memorial Junior High School, introduced a chess club event. Levon, who is a YMCA Lifeguard,  taught the students basic strategy of the game. MJH students are having a wonderful time at Teen Café and look forward to participating every Tuesday in a different event. Families of MJH students can have their child join Teen Café too, Tuesdays at Memorial Junior High in room 206 from 3:15pm to 4:30pm and Thursdays at the Hillcrest YMCA (Lyndhurst) Branch from 3:15pm to 4:45pm. While at the branch, the students can participate in basketball, swimming, homework help, table games, a snack and most importantly this is FREE! Thank you to the YMCA for supporting the SEL school district.
