Warrensville Heights Junior to Represent Northeast Region on Super Smash Bros All-Star Team

Congratulations to High School junior Avery Woods for being chosen to represent the Northeast region in Super Smash Bros. Avery will join the All-Star team along with students from Shaker Heights, Avon, Akron STEM and John Marshall. They will compete against All-Star teams from the other regions in the state to determine which region is the best. Each coach in the region was able to nominate one student per game. Coach Stank nominated Avery for Smash Bros, alongside junior Eddie Johnson for Overwatch, and senior Eli Ruff in Rocket League. Once the players were nominated, the coaches then voted to determine the team. Unfortunately, Eddie and Eli were not chosen for their respective All-Star teams.

In addition, Avery will also look to lead Warrensville's Smash Bros. team into the playoffs in their first full year as a program. If the Tigers (5-1, 21-9) beat Bedford tomorrow, they will move into a three way tie at 6-1 for first place in the division, along with Avon and John Marshall. Junior Eddie Johnson, sophomores Tristan Pace and David Moore, along with eighth grader Ro'land Jones round out the rest of the team
