Bedford Schools Participate in "Stay in the Game" Attendance Awareness Month Initiatives
Bedford City Schools is kicking off Attendance Awareness Month this September with a series of initiatives aimed at promoting regular school

attendance. The district is partnering with the Cleveland Browns' "Stay in the Game!" program to encourage students and the community to prioritize attendance.
Throughout the month, Bedford schools will host weekly themed activities. These include a pledge drive, a decorating contest, a spirit week, and a dance-focused event called "At-TEN-dance." The district hopes these engaging activities will highlight the importance of consistent school attendance.
"Attendance is a lifelong habit that will follow us for the rest of our lives," said a district spokesperson. "We invite everyone in our community to participate."
Parents and guardians are encouraged to take the attendance pledge alongside students. The district's Stay in the Game team expressed enthusiasm about celebrating Attendance Awareness Month and motivating students to be present every day.
The month-long campaign will conclude with the presentation of Attendance MVP Certificates on September 30, recognizing students with outstanding attendance records.
Bedford City Schools' mantra for the initiative is "On Time Every Day is the BCSD Way!" emphasizing their commitment to fostering a culture of consistent attendance.
