For the third year, PCSD Nutrition Services has partnered with the PTA to provide elementary students with a free tomato plant and an online curriculum focused on plant science through the summer. There will also be a plant journal provided by the PCSD curriculum department to pick up with your plant to track its growing progress! Parents from past projects have reported an increase in their students’ liking tomatoes and trying new foods.

 

Students return to school to see local sun gold tomatoes available on all the fruit and vegetable bars. All elementary students are encouraged to participate!
