Shaker Heights Students Visit Shaker Historical Society

Third graders from Shaker Heights' Mercer Elementary School visited the Shaker Historical Society last week as part of the IB unit "Where we are in Place and Time". During their visit students participated in two different hands-on lessons exploring a timeline of Shaker Heights dating back hundreds of years and created their own maps. The students were an engaged group of learners who proved they are knowledgeable, inquirers and communicators! Way to go, Meercats!
