Memorial Junior High students recently laced up their athletic shoes to raise funds for an upcoming school trip to Washington D.C. while also promoting physical activity.

As part of the Walk for Washington fundraising event on Monday, January 29, 2024, students gathered after school to walk around the inside of the school building for approximately two miles. Students received a certificate upon completion of the two-mile walk to provide to their sponsors to help pay for their trip expenses. All participating students had a fun experience and look forward to visiting our nation’s capital during the spring!
