Supporting and strengthening the mental health in our youth is an important goal in the Bedford City School

District, and the district has added two new members to the Bearcat family to help achieve this goal.
Licensed service dog trainer, Stacy Sinwald and therapy pup, Uno are new additions to the Bedford family and their positive impact is undeniable. Uno is the district's first licensed therapy dog to be contracted to the primary and intermediate buildings.
Uno and Stacy visit Central, Glendale, Carylwood and Columbus every Thursday. Uno spends an hour in each school as he shows compassion through authentic interaction. He also helps students manage their impulse control through guided emotional regulation.
