Team Brooklyn Leads Fundraising Campaign for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
All
funds raised will help fund research for innovative treatments.
Members of the Hurricane Leadership Academy at Brooklyn High School are applying their organizational and collaboration skills to help raise awareness and funds regarding blood cancers for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign. Desiree and Aishah (pictured above) volunteered to lead Team Brooklyn’s campaign efforts after it was brought before the Hurricane Leadership academy. Both students met with advisors from the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to establish fundraising goals and create a plan for the campaign in the months leading up to the campaign’s launch on January 17, 2024.
All funds raised will go towards supporting the mission of LLS to fund research for innovative treatments for blood cancers, provide free education and support for patients and their families, and mobilize advocacy efforts.
