Garfield Heights' Elementary Students Commemorate 100th Day of School
T

he 100th Day of School recently took place in the Garfield Heights City Schools, and students at Elmwood Elementary found a creative way to look forward to this milestone moment, and to commemorate the occasion. Typically falling somewhere between mid-February and early March for most schools in Ohio, depending upon their respective district’s starting day, many buildings use this marker of the school calendar for lessons, fun, and activities. At Elmwood, students were encouraged to dress as someone who might look to be 100 years old. Oversized purses, wigs, glasses, dresses, pearl necklaces, and trousers were all part of the students’ attire for the day recently. Activities commemorating the 100th day of school also took place. Thank you to everyone who participated in making the 100th day of school a milestone moment for our children.
