Berea Students Embark on a Global Valentine's Project

Miss Bohrer's second grade class at Brook Park Elementary School embarked on a Valentine's Day mission titled "Love Makes the World Go Round," aiming to collect postcards, special items, or Valentines from all 50 U.S. states. The initiative, designed to enrich the students' learning about the diverse cultures and histories across the country, quickly surpassed its original goal, drawing contributions from not only across the United States but also around the world, including the UK, South Korea, and several U.S. states like Hawaii and Texas.

The project's global reach was unexpected but warmly welcomed, as it not only brought the class closer to their goal but also introduced them to international cultures and stories. The overwhelming support from both domestic and international participants brought joy and excitement to the classroom, demonstrating the project's impact far beyond its educational intent.

Miss Bohrer and her class have expressed deep gratitude for the widespread participation that turned their educational project into a global exchange of love and learning. The success of "Love Makes the World Go Round" highlights the power of community and the meaningful connections that can be forged through simple acts of sharing and kindness. This project has not only taught students about geography and culture but also about the universal values of love and unity, making it a truly enriching experience for everyone involved.
