Parma's Teaching Professions Program students Travel to State Competition and Conference
Students from the Parma City School District Teaching Professions Program travelled to Capital University in Columbus to participate in the 'Educators Rising' state competition and conference.
Educators Rising, in partnership with the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce, is a national and state membership organization with the aspiration to inspire and encourage high school students to pursue a future career in teaching and education.
Students were able to pick from 24 different categories to create a project. On Monday, the students presented their projects to a panel of 3 judges. Students were then asked questions from the judges who graded them on a complex rubric.
There were 39 schools and over 700 students that competed in the competition. Students also attended breakout sessions and a college fair. The following PCSD students placed at the competition.
