In celebration of Career and Technical Education Month, the Parma City School District is spotlighting its Biotechnology Program, highlighting the
recent presentation by John Grebenc, a Parma native and Senior Account Manager at QIAGEN, a leading biotech sales company.
During the presentation, Grebenc showcased the myriad opportunities available within the biotech industry, emphasizing the diversity of interesting and well-paying careers it offers. His insight shed light on the potential paths students can pursue upon completing the Biotechnology Program.
The Biotechnology Program, spanning a year, is designed to equip students with the necessary skills for a career in Biological Sciences. With an emphasis on laboratory techniques and research skills, students spend over 50% of their class time engaged in hands-on laboratory work.
