GM Plant Hosts Parma Educators

GM Parma Metal Center welcomed local PCSD leaders during the week of Oct. 7 as part of the "Educators on the Line" program, connecting STEAM education with real-world manufacturing.
The visit highlighted career opportunities in the manufacturing sector, coinciding with National Manufacturing Day on Oct. 4.
Plant Director Amy Carrier emphasized the importance of linking classroom learning with hands-on experience.
"We're committed to supporting STEAM education and preparing our future workforce," Carrier said.
Educators toured the plant, met skilled trades teams, and learned about the Skilled Trades Apprenticeship Readiness Certification (STARC) program.
