On Saturday, South Euclid Lyndhurst (SEL) students participated in the Future Shades in Medicine Youth Summit at the Cleveland Browns Stadium, hosted by University Hospitals. 

This exciting annual event is filled with hands-on activities and simulations designed to inspire youth of color to consider careers as doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

This year, 20 SEL students attended, many of whom are already involved in the Medical Excel TECC program and were eager to broaden their exposure to the multiple fields in medicine. 

The students most enjoyed exploring a real cow's heart with a cardiologist, a simulated delivery with an OBGYN, and OT and PT activities.

This event was coordinated by Mr. Edmund Hall, the College & Career Pathways Coordinator at Brush High School.
