The plan year runs from July 1 through June 30. Forms are available during Open Enrollment in June or during the New Hire Process.

It is the policy of the Educational Service Center (ESC) of Northeast Ohio to make tax-sheltered annuities available to Governing Board employees upon request and filing of appropriate company application with the Governing Board Treasurer. Employees who purchase annuities do so completely on their own. The ESC of Northeast Ohio does not endorse any company.

These shall be subject to the limitation of the Internal Revenue Code governing tax shelters. The Governing Board reserves the right to require that an applicant for a tax-sheltered annuity to be one of at least five persons to be covered by any company which is not, as of October 27, 1982, currently a company that has written tax-sheltered annuities for Governing Board employees.
